What to Consider When Choosing a Photoshoot Location in Gran Canaria

1. Think About the Mood You Want
Close your eyes and imagine your ideal photo session.
Would you feel most like yourself in:– A dramatic natural landscape with cliffs and space to breathe?– A quiet beach with soft waves and sand under your feet?– A whitewashed village with flowering balconies and stone streets?– Or maybe a rugged volcanic coastline with wild, textured backdrops?
The location you choose will set the entire mood of the session. It shapes the energy, the color palette, and how you move through the space. Pick something that feels good to you — not just something that looks good online.

2. Pay Attention to the Light
Light is just as important as location — maybe even more.
Do you imagine your photos glowing with golden light at sunset?Or do you prefer the clean, crisp brightness of early morning?
Sunrise and sunset give us that soft, magical light that flatters skin and creates emotion in every frame.Midday light tends to be harsher — so if you're shooting during the day, look for a location that offers shade or textured light, like trees, walls, or overhangs.

3. Think About Comfort and Crowds
Some places are beautiful — but busy. Ask yourself:– Do I feel relaxed being photographed with people walking by?– Or would I rather have a quieter space where I can ease into the moment?
There’s no right answer — it depends on your personality. But your comfort matters more than anything. The more at ease you feel, the more natural your photos will look.
📸 My role as your photographer is to help guide you through all of this — the location, the light, the feeling. We’ll choose a place that reflects your style, suits the time of day, and gives you space to be yourself.
