Women’s Day Photoshoot in the Mountains of Gran Canaria

On International Women’s Day, I organized a special picnic and photoshoot for women in the mountains of Gran Canaria. The idea was to create a relaxed space where women could spend time together in nature and also get professional portraits.

We met in a beautiful mountain area with open fields full of flowers and large clouds moving across the sky. The landscape created a clean and natural background for portraits.

The event was simple and relaxed. We had a picnic, talked, walked around the area, and photographed each participant individually.

Women who join these sessions have never had a professional photoshoot before. It is normal to feel unsure about what to do in front of the camera. After a few minutes people relax, and the process becomes much easier.

The goal is always to create photos that feel natural.

Preparing for the Photoshoot

Preparation is an important part of the final result. Before the event, I helped participants choose outfits that would work well for the location.

Choosing the Right Color Palette

For outdoor photoshoots, colors should work well with the environment. For mountain landscapes in Gran Canaria I usually recommend neutral and natural tones such as:

• beige

• cream

• terracotta

• green

• brown

• yellow

• wine color

These colors photograph well and match the surrounding landscape.

Matching the Landscape

Every location has different colors and textures. For this session the landscape included green fields, flowers, and cloudy skies. Choosing earthy colors helped keep the images balanced and clean.

Considering Skin Tone

Clothing colors also affect how light reflects on the face. Some colors highlight skin tone better than others. Before the session I help participants choose outfits that work well in natural light.

Guidance During the Photoshoot

Most people do not know how to pose, and that is completely normal.

During the photoshoot I guide the process step by step. I show where to stand, how to position the body, where to look, and how to move naturally.

Small adjustments make a big difference in the final photos.

Outdoor Portraits in Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria offers many beautiful locations for portrait photography, especially in the mountains where the landscape is open and the light is soft.

These environments create clean and natural images that feel relaxed and authentic.
